Prof. Dr. Volkan Adsay

Dr. Volkan Adsay Hacettepe Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi’nden mezun olduktan sonra New York’ta patoloji uzmanlık eğitimini tamamladı. Ardından Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center’da (New York City, NY, ABD) onkolojik patoloji yan dal eğitimi gördü. 1997’den 2007’ye kadar Wayne State University and Karmanos Cancer Center’da çalıştı ve bu kurumda professor oldu. Emory Üniversitesi (ABD) anatomic patoloji bölümünün bölüm başkanı olarak görev yaptı. 2018 yılında Koç Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Patoloji Anabilim Dalı’nda çalışmaya başlayan Dr Adsay halen bu kurumda Anabilim Dalı olarak görev yapmaktadır.


Dr Adsay özellikle gastrointestinal ve pankreatikobiliyer kanser alanında çalışmaktadır. Hakemli dergilerde yayınlanmış 290’ın üzerinde araştırma makalesi bulunmaktadır. Ayrıca Sternberg’s Diagnostic Surgical Pathology; Odze and Goldblum’s Surgical Pathology of GI tract Liver, Biliary tract and Pancreas) Gastrointestinal Tract Surgery (Blumgart’s Surgery of the Liver, Biliary Tract and Pancreas) and Oncology (Kelsen’s Gastrointestinal tract Oncology) gibi kitapların yazarları arasındadır. Ayrıca Dr Adsay National Cancer Institute’un da aralarında bulunduğu çok sayıda kurum ve kuruluş tarafından desteklenen araştırma projelerinde yürütücü olarak görev yapmış, ve hem eğitmen ve hem de araştırmacı olarak birçok ödüle de layık görülmüştür. Ayrıca 40’dan fazla ülkede 300 den fazla konuşma ve dersler vermıiştir.

Öğr. Gör. Dr. Ayşe Armutlu

Dr. Ayşe Armutlu 2009 yılında Gazi Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi’nden mezun oldu. 2009-2014 yılları arası Tıbbi Patoloji uzmanlık eğitimini Gazi Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Patoloji Anabilim Dalı’nda tamamladı. Devlet hizmet yükümlülüğünü 2014-2016 yılları arası Mardin Midyat Devlet Hastanesi’nde tamamladıktan sonra 2016 Mart ayında Koç Üniversitesi Hastanesi Patoloji Anabilim Dalı’nda göreve başladı. 2018 yılında iki ay boyunda “Indiana University” Patoloji Departmanı’nda Prof. Dr. Romil Saxena ile medikal karaciğer ve karaciğer transplantasyon patolojisi üzerine çalıştı. 2016 yılından beri Koç Üniversitesi Patoloji Anabilim Dalı’nda uzman doktor olarak görev yapmaktadır. Çalışma alanları medikal karaciğer patolojisi, hepatobiliyer patoloji ve ürogenital sistem patolojisidir.

Dr. Pınar Bulutay 2001 yılında Samsun Atatürk Anadolu Lisesi’nden 2008 yıllında Samsun On Dokuz Mayıs Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesinden mezun oldu. 2009-2013 yılları arasında Tıbbı patoloji uzmanlık eğitimini Gazi Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Patoloji Anabilim Dalı’nda tamamladı. Aralık 2013- Ocak 2015 tarihleri arasında Şanlıurfa Viranşehir Devlet hastanesinde mecburi hizmetini tamamladıktan sonra, Şubat 2015’de Koç Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Patoloji Anabilim Dalı’nda uzman octor olarak çalışmaya başladı. Şubat 2015 – Kasım 2019 tarihleri arasında uzman octor pozisyonunda görevine devam ettikten sonra Aralık 2019 tarihinden itibaren Öğretim Görevlisi kadrosunda görevine devam etmektedir. Görev süresi içerisinde 2018 yılında Haziran 2018 – Eylül 2018 tarihleri arasında Memorial Sloan Kettering Hastanesi (New York, ABD), patoloji bölümünde Dr Wiliam Travis’in yanında gözlemci olarak bulunmuştur. Özel çalışma alanları pulmoner ve mediastinal patoloji, Jinekopatoloji, yumuşak doku patolojisidir.

Prof. Dr. Dilek Ertoy Baydar

Prof. Dr. Dilek Ertoy Baydar, 1991 yılında Hacettepe Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi’nden mezun oldu. Uzmanlık eğitimini, 1996 yılında Hacettepe Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Patoloji Anabilim Dalı'nda tamamladı. 1996-1998 yılları arasında Emory Üniversitesi (Atlanta, USA)’nde Nefropatoloji alanında üst ihtisas yaptı. Yurda döndükten sonra Hacettepe Üniversitesi’nde önce öğretim görevlisi, ardından öğretim üyesi kadrosuna atandı. 2002 yılında doçentlik ünvanına hak kazandı. 2003-2005 döneminde Johns Hopkins Üniversitesi (Baltimore, USA) Patoloji Departmanı Genitoüriner Patoloji Divizyonu’nda Prof. Jonathan I. Epstein ve Prof. Angelo DeMarzo ile çalıştı ve Erkek Genital Sistem ve Ürolojik Patoloji alanında uzmanlaştı. 2007 yılında Hacettepe Üniversitesi’nde profesör kadrosuna atandı. Prof. Ertoy Baydar, 2013-2016 yılları arasında H.Ü. Tıbbi Patoloji Anabilim Dalı Başkanlığı’nı yürüttü ve 2018 yılında Hacettepe Üniversitesi’ndeki görevinden ayrıldı. 2018 Şubat ayından itibaren VKV Sağlık Kuruluşlarında görev yapmaktadır.

Prof. Dr. İbrahim Öner Doğan

Dr. İbrahim Öner Doğan 1983 yılında İstanbul Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi’nden mezun olduktan sonra iki yıl süre ile Kahramanmaraş’ta sağlık ocağında çalıştı. Uzmanlık eğitimini 1986-1991 yılları arasında İstanbul Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Patoloji Anabilim Dalı’nda tamamladı. Aynı kurumda 1993-1995 yılları arasında hematopatoloji alanında çalıştı, 1995 yılında doçent, 2000 yılında profesör oldu. Dr Doğan 2016 yılından itibaren Koç Üniversitesi Hastanesi’nde çalışmaya başlamıştır ve ilgi alanları arasında hematopatoloji, immünohistokimya ve patoloji laboratuvar teknikleri bulunmaktadır.

Prof. Dr. Pınar Fırat

Pınar Fırat İstanbul Üniversitesi İstanbul Tıp Fakültesi’nden 1989 yılında mezun olmuş; patoloji uzmanlık eğitimini S.B Ankara Onkoloji Hastanesi’nde 1992 yılında tamamlamıştır. Malatya Devlet Hastanesi’ndeki zorunlu hizmetinden sonra 1994’te Hacettepe Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Patoloji Anabilim Dalı’nda göreve başlamış; 2002 yılında doçent, 2007 yılında profesörlük ünvanını almış; bu kurumda 2010 yılına kadar çalışmıştır. Aynı yıl içinde İstanbul Tıp Fakültesi Patoloji Anabilim Dalı’nda profesör olarak öğretim üyeliğine başlamış ve 2017 yılına dek bu göreve devam etmiş, daha sonra Koç Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Patoloji Anabilim Dalı’nda çalışmaya başlamıştır ve halen be görevde devam etmektedir. 1990 ve 1996 yıllarında, toplam altı ay süreyle, İngiltere’de Güneybatı Bölgesel Sitopatoloji Okulu’nda, ABD’de Indiana Üniversitesi Tıp Merkezi Sitopatoloji Bölümü’nde ve İsveç’te Karolinska Enstitüsü Klinik Sitoloji Bölümü’nde sitopatoloji eğitimi almıştır. 2009 yılında, Geraldine C. Zeiler bursu ile bir ay boyunca ABD’de Mayo Klinik’de akciğer patolojisi konusunda gözlemci olarak çalışmıştır. İlgi alanları sitopatoloji ve akciğer patolojisidir. Uluslararası dergilerde basılan 70’in üzerinde makalesi, ulusal ve uluslararası kitaplarda bölüm yazarlıkları ve bir uluslararası kitap editörlüğü bulunmaktadır (Davidson B, Fırat P, Michael CW, Eds. Serous effusions. Etiology, diagnosis, prognosis and therapy. Springer 2012); bu kitabın 2018 yılında ikinci baskısı yayınlanmıştır. Ulusal ve uluslararası bilimsel derneklerde idari görevlerde bulunmuştur: 2006-2010 yılları arasında “European Society of Pathology- Cytopathology Working Group” başkanlığı; 2010-2012 yılları arasında “Türk Toraks Derneği ve Patoloji Dernekleri Federasyonu Akciğer Patolojisi Çalışma Grubu” başkanlığı; 2014-2016 yılları arasında “Ulusal Sitopatoloji Derneği” başkanlığı; 2016-2018 yılları arasında “Patoloji Dernekleri Federasyonu” yönetim kurulu üyeliği görevlerini yürütmüştür.

Prof. Dr. Yersu Kapran 1967 yılında Ankara’da doğdu. 1984'te TED Ankara Koleji, 1990'de Gazi Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi’ni bitirdi. Uzmanlık eğitimini, 1995 yılında İstanbul Üniversitesi İstanbul Tıp Fakültesi Patoloji Anabilim Dalı'nda tamamladı. 2000 yılında doçentlik ünvanına hak kazandı. 2004 yılında Christian-Albrechts Üniversitesi (Kiel, Almanya), Patoloji Departmanında araştırmacı olarak bulundu. 2006 yılında Profesör unvanını aldı. 1995-2013 yılları arasında İstanbul Üniversitesi İstanbul Tıp Fakültesi Patoloji Anabilim Dalında çalıştı. 2009-2010 yılları arasında aynı Anabilim Dalında Bölüm Başkanlığı görevini yürüttü. 2013-2016 yılları arasında Nişantaşı Patoloji Grubu’nda çalıştı. Ocak 2016’dan itibaren VKV Sağlık Kuruluşlarında görev yapmaktadır. Patolojide özel ilgi alanı endokrin sistem, gastrointestinal sistem ve nöroendokrin tümör patolojisidir.

Prof. Dr. Nilgün Kapucuoğlu

Dr. Fatma Nilgün Kapucuoğlu 1982'de TED Ankara Koleji, 1988'de Ankara Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi’ni bitirdi. 1991’de Ankara Onkoloji Hastanesi’nde patoloji uzmanı oldu. 1991-2000 yılları arasında Ankara Onkoloji Hastanesi'nde patoloji uzmanı olarak çalıştı. Meme patolojisi ve immunohistokimya konusunda 1994’te 4 ay Nottingham City Hospital Patoloji Bölümü'nde ve 1995’te 6 ay Bologna Üniversitesi Bellaria Hastanesi Patoloji Bölümü'nde çalıştı. 2000-2002 yılları arasında SSK Etlik Kadın Hastalıkları ve Doğum Hastanesi’nde patoloji uzmanı olarak çalıştı. 2002-2013 yılları arasında Süleyman Demirel Üniversitesi Patoloji AD’da çalıştı. 2004 yılında doçent, 2010 yılında profesör oldu. 2005-2013 yılları arasında anabilim dalı başkanlığı yaptı. 2013-2017 yılları arasında Acıbadem Sağlık Grubu hastanelerinde çalıştı. 2017 Eylül ayından beri Koç Üniversitesi Hastanesi Patoloji Bölüm’ünde çalışmaktadır. Özel ilgi alanları meme patolojisi ve jinekopatolojidir.

Dr. İbrahim Kulaç 2002 yılında Trabzon Yomra Fen Lisesi’nden, 2008 yılında Hacettepe Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi’nden mezun oldu. 2008-2013 yılları arası Patoloji uzmanlık eğitimini Hacettepe Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Patoloji Anabilim Dalı’nda tamamladı. 2013-2016 yılları arası üç yıl süre ile Johns Hopkins Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Patoloji Departmanı’nda (Baltimore, Maryland, ABD) Dr Angelo De Marzo ile birlikte prostat kanseri patogenezi üzerine çalıştı ve patolojide kullanılan moleküler teknikler üzerine uygulamalar gerçekleştirdi. Devlet hizmet yükümlülüğünü 2016-2018 yılları arası Mardin Devlet Hastanesi’nde tamamladı. 2018 yılında bir ay ve 2019 yılında iki ay boyunca University of California, San Francisco Patoloji Departmanı, Nöropatoloji Divizyonu’nda nöropatoloji alanında çalışmalarda bulundu. 2018 yılından itibaren Koç Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Patoloji Anabilim Dalı’nda öğretim üyesi ve 2019 yılından itibaren University of California, San Francisco’da misafir öğretim üyesi olarak görev yapmaktadır. 2022 yılında doçent oldu. Özel çalışma alanları nöropatoloji, moleküler patoloji ve ürogenital sistem patolojisidir.

Dr. M.Çisel Aydın Meriçöz 1985 yılında Gaziantepte doğdu. 2003 yılında Ankara Mehmet Emin Resulzade Anadolu Lisesi'nden, 2009 yılında Eskişehir Osmangazi Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi'nden mezun oldu. Tıp fakültesinin son yılını Erasmus programı ile İtalyada Foggia Üniversitesi'nde tamamladı. Uzmanlık eğitimini 2015 yılında Hacettepe Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Patoloji Anabilim Dalı’nda aldı. Asistanlığı sırasında Johns Hopkins Universitesi'nde sitopatoloji alanında çalışmalara katıldı. Devlet hizmet yükümlülüğünü 2016-2018 yılları arasında Haydarpaşa Numune Eğitim ve Araştırma Hastenesi'nde tamamladı. 2017 yılında Sağllık Bilimleri Üniversitesinde Moleküler Onkoloji doktorasına başlamış bulunmakta. Prof. Dr. Arzu Ruacan

1984 yılında Ankara Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesinden mezun olmuştur. 2 yıl Adana’da mecburi hizmet yaptıktan sonra 1986 yılında Hacettepe Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Patoloji Anabilim Dalına araştırma görevlisi olarak girmiş ve 1990 yılında uzman olmuştur. 1990 yılından 2009 yılına kadar Hacettepe Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Patoloji Anabilim Dalında görev yapmıştır. 1994 yılında doçent, 2002 yılında profesör olmuştur. 1996 yılında 9 ay süre ile “Sheffield Kidney Institute” de moleküler patoloji ve insitu hibridizasyon teknikleri ile ilgili çalışmalar yapmıştır. 2004-2009 yılları arasında 2 dönem Hacettepe Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Patoloji Anabilim Dalı Başkanlığını, 2008-2010 yılları arasında Patoloji Dernekleri Federasyon Başkanlığını ve 2012-2016 yılları arasında Patoloji Dernekleri Federasyonu Baş-boyun Patolojisi Çalışma Grubu Başkanlığını yürütmüştür. 3 tanesi ulusal, 3 tanesi uluslararası olmak üzere patoloji kongreleri ve sempozyumları düzenlemiş, bu kongrelerin 4’ünde kongre eş başkanlığı, 2’sinde kongre sekreterliği yapmıştır. TÜBİTAK ve Hacettepe Üniversitesi Bilimsel Araştırmalar Birimi destekli çok sayıda araştırma projesinde proje yürütücüsü ve araştırmacı olarak çalışmıştır. Yaptığı çalışmalar ile Türkiye Gazeteciler Cemiyeti Sedat Simavi Sağlık Bilimleri Ödülüne (2000 yılında), Hacettepe Üniversitesi Araştırma Grubu ödülüne (2001 yılında) ve Novartis Farmasötik Teknoloji Araştırma İkincilik Ödülüne (2003-2004 Yılı) layık görülmüştür. İlgi alanları hematopatoloji ve baş boyun patolojisidir. 93 adet yurt dışı, 42 adet yurt içi olmak üzere toplam 135 makalesi ve kongrelerde sunulan 31 adet yurt dışı, 42 adet yurt içi olmak üzere toplam 73 bildirisi mevcuttur. Yurt dışı yayınlarından 1104 atıf almıştır. Temmuz 2012’den itibaren VKV Sağlık Kuruluşlarında görev yapmaktadır. Halen Koç Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Patoloji Anabilim Dalı öğretim üyesidir. Aynı zamanda Tıp Fakültesi 3. yıl Eğitim Koordinatörlüğü ve Koç Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Akreditasyon Komitesi Başkanlığını yürütmektedir. Ayrıca Patoloji Dernekleri Federasyonu Tıbbi Patoloji Yeterlik Kurulu Başkanıdır.

Prof. Dr. Şevket Ruacan Emeritus ve Tıp Fakültesi Kurucu Dekanı

Prof. Dr. Şevket Ruacan 1945 yılında Ankara’da doğdu.1962’de Ankara Bahçelievler Deneme Lisesinden, 1963’de ABD’de Phoenix,Arizona West High School’dan, 1969’da da Hacettepe Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesinden mezun oldu. ABD’de University of Pennsylvania ve New York University’de Biyokimya ve Patoloji eğitimi aldı. Hacettepe Üniversitesinde 1979’da doçent,1988’de profesör oldu. Hacettepe Üniversitesinde Patoloji Anabilim Dalı Başkanı, Tıp Fakültesi Dekanı, Onkoloji Enstitüsü Müdürü, Etik Kurul Başkanı olarak görev yaptı. Yüksek Öğretim Kurulu ve TÜBİTAK Bilim Kurulu üyesi görevlerinde bulundu. 2009-2014 yılları arasında Koç Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Kurucu Dekanlığını üstlendi. 2014 yılından itibaren Tıp Fakültesi öğretim üyesi olarak görev yapmaktadır.

Doç. Dr. Burcu Saka

Doç. Dr. Burcu Saka, 1999 yılında Tokat Anadolu Lisesi'ni bitirdi. Dereceyle girdiği Hacettepe Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi'nden 2005 yılında mezun oldu. Uzmanlık eğitimini, 2011 yılında Gazi Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Patoloji Anabilim Dalı'nda tamamladı. Mecburi hizmetini Mardin Kızıltepe Devlet Hastanesi'nde 2012 yılında bitirdi. Uzmanlık eğitimi döneminde gözlemci (7.2010 - 10.2010) , devlet hizmet yükümlülüğü sonrasında ise araştırmacı (7. 2012- 10. 2013) ünvanları ile Emory Üniversitesi (Atlanta, ABD) Tıp Fakültesi Patoloji Anabilim Dalı'nda çalıştı. Temel olarak hepatopankreatobilier sistem ve gastrointestinal sistem patolojisi ile ilgili araştırmalar yaptı. 2013 yılında yurda döndükten sonra, İstanbul Medipol Üniversitesi Patoloji Anabilim Dalı'nda çalışmaya başladı ve 2014 yılında yardımcı doçent kadrosuna atandı. 2015 yılında ulusal, 2016 yılında ise Avrupa Patoloji Yeterlik sınavlarını başarıyla geçti. 2018 yılında, aynı kurumda doçent kadrosuna atandı. 2021 Temmuz ayında, İstanbul Medipol Üniversitesi'ndeki görevinden ayrıldı. 2021 Temmuz ayından itibaren VKV Sağlık Kuruluşlarında görev yapmaktadır.

Doç. Dr. Orhun Çığ Taşkın

Dr. Orhun Çığ Taşkın 1986 yılında İstanbul’da doğdu. 2004’de Özel Notre Dame de Sion Fransız Lisesi’nden, 2010 yılında İstanbul Üniversitesi İstanbul Tıp Fakültesi’nden mezun oldu. Tıbbi Patoloji Uzmanlık Eğitimini 2011-2016 yılları arasında İstanbul Üniversitesi İstanbul Tıp Fakültesi Patoloji Anabilim Dalı’nda tamamladı. Devlet Hizmet yükümlülüğünü 2016-2017 yılları arasında Doğubeyazıt Doç. Dr. Yaşar Eryılmaz Devlet Hastanesi’nde tamamladı. 2015 yılında Toronto Üniversitesi’nde (Toronto, Ontario, Kanada) endokrin patoloji, 2019 yılında Moffitt Kanser Merkezi’nde (Tampa, Florida, ABD) gastrointestinal patoloji alanında gözlemci olarak bulundu. Kasım 2017’den itibaren Koç Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Patoloji Anabilim Dalı’nda görev yapmaktadır. 2021 yılında doçent oldu. Özel çalışma ve ilgi alanları gastrointestinal ve pankreatobiliyer patoloji, meme patolojisi ve endokrin patolojidir.
